Ole and Abner go on a fun walk

I had class to teach this morning , so Ole stayed with Abner while Elmo and Shelly went with me to the park for class. I had taken the two of them on a power walk before class and Ole was reluctant to come. Abner said that he thought it was because when he (Abner) took him on the morning potty walk he was impatient with Ole dragging behind and wanting to sniff and invertigate everything. So he said that he would start taking Ole on fun walks to the beach instead.
Elmo elected himself to be the assistant dog for the class. Julie Donna and I gave a Canine Good Citizen Test, combining both her class and mine. The students from my class took it as a mock test for experience and Julies class took it for real. Donna brought her Mom's little yorkie Grady to take the test also. I was happy with my students, none of them passed but they all came close or at least had improved a lot since class started. Grady flunked only one part of the test, he didn't come when Donna called him.
At home Abner said that he and Ole had a great walk, met lots of people. Both of them especially enjoyed meeting a scantily clad young woman who was out jogging who stopped hugged up Ole and kissed him. Abner enjoyed the show. Ole also got to dig a big hole in the sand, so all in all it was a fun walk for both of them.
I fed Ole lunch, pottied him and put him in his crate. Then I masked off more of the hallway trim and the landing area up to the bedroom. I then got Ole out for a walk to the bank with a stop at Noah's along the way. There were a ton of people out as it was sunny and beautiful. I picked up some dog treats at Noah's and then walked Ole to the bank where he went in the lobby with me and practiced a sit stay while i did my banking. We headed from there back towards Noah's and on the way stopped to watch 4 young guys on skate boards jumping short concrete walls in an open parking garage. Ole was a little over excited by it at first but I got him to sit and gave him a treat whenever he watched calmly or looked away from it to me. Then we went back inside Noh's and he practiced once again getting in and out of one of the tubs. I was able to actually spray him with warm water all over while he ate treats tossed into the bottom of the tub. He is probably ready now for a bath on Sunday. I don't want to have a dog that I have to wrestle into the tub and wrestle with while he is in it also. That's NOT fun and he is BIG and getting bigger.
